Traditional ethnobotany

Native to the coastal forests and ravines of New Zealand, Griselinia littoralis, called "kapuka" or "papauma" by the Maori, is known above all as a hedging and timber tree. Its traditional use in pharmacopoeia remains marginal and poorly documented, passed down mainly through local oral tradition rather than established texts.
